 1952

•Mr. Ming-Ning Wang founded the China Chemical & Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (CCPC) and established a plant in Shulin, Taipei County, Taiwan, ROC.

 1962

•The company went public after approval by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

 1964

•Established China Chemical Synthesis Industrial Co., Ltd. to manufacture finechemicals and bulk materials.

 1973

•Introduced animal products to complement the existing pesticide business.

 1978

•First to implement GMP in Taiwan; inaugurated a new GMP-compliant plant.

 1984

•CCPC Shulin factory garnered government certification as a GMP factory.

 1986

 •CCPC contracted with IBM in order to computerize the entire organization.

 1989

•In memory of the late CCPC founder Ming-Ning Wang who passed away in 1988, the Ming-Ning Wang Memorial Foundation was established to fund medical research.

 1990

•The Shulin Research Center Building along with the Tainan Plant I and dormitory were commissioned into use.

 1991

•Construction began on the Taichung Branch Building as well as the Taichung Consumer Products Plant.

 1992

•Established the Consumer Product Division and Animal Health Division for the manufacturing and marketing of related products.

 1993

•Invested in Suzhou ChungHwa Pharmaceutical & Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd.(SCCPC) in Mainland China through an overseas holding company; TaichungConsumer Products Plant inaugurated and commissioned.

 1994

•Construction of SCCPC was completed and production started.

 1996

•The Sinfong Plant, the first cGMP pharmaceutical plant in Taiwan, was commissioned.

 1998

•SCCPC received GMP certification in Mainland China. CCPC received the National Medical & Pharmaceutical Award.

 1999

•CCPC and SynZyme Technology, LLC. signed a joint-venture agreement. The platform technology will be used for treating cardiovascular diseases, such as stroke, multiple organ failure, ischemia reperfusion damage, etc. SCCPC & CCPC will develop new drugs and perform clinical trials in China and Taiwan. CCPC received the National Bio & Medical Care Quality Award.

 2000

•CCPC invested in NeuroLogic Inc. (NLI), a biotech company developing Alzheimer’s disease diagnostics and new drugs for dementia. CCPC is granted manufacturing and marketing rights for Asia.

 2001

•The Sinfong and Taichung Plants were the first groups to pass the first phase of cGMP certification.

 2002

•SCCPC passed the ISO 14001 certification in Mainland China. The Taichung Plant passed the second and third phase of cGMP certification by the Department of Health, Executive Yuan, ROC (Taiwan).

 2004

•In order to separate manufacturing and marketing, CCPC established ChungHwa Yuming Health Care Co. in Jhongjheng District, Taipei. The Shulin Research Center also moves to the Sinfong Plant in Hsinchu County.

 2005

•CCPC bought and merged the Tainan Plant of Japan Sankyo Co., Ltd. then established the CCPC Tainan Plant II in Guantian Township, Tainan County, Taiwan.

 2006

•In order to provide the best quality of service to customers, the Customer Products Division became ChungHwa Biochemical Technology Corp. in Neihu District, Taipei.
