Suzhou Chung-Hwa Pharmaceutical & Chemical Industrial Co.,Ltd.(SCCPC), the first pharmaceutical company approved by both the Taiwan and Mainland China authorities, was formally established in April 1993. The company is conveniently located on 26 acres of land and includes CCPC, as its major shareholder, and Suzhou Second Pharmaceutical Plant and China National Corporation of Medicines as partners.

The SCCPC plant manufactures products that are in prevalent use in Taiwan, as well as newly registered pharmaceuticals, including those for anti-infection, the elderly, and pediatrics. Apart from production and distribution, the plant also imports from CCPC anti-biotics, hypolipidemics, as well as pharmaceuticals for anti-allergy, gynecology, and the digestive system. Currently, several import licenses for the formulations and raw materials have been obtained from the Chinese government.

The SCCPC plant is built in accordance with GMP standards with its major facilities imported from Europe, the United States, and Japan. Manufacturing is carried out under the strictest QC standards and manufacturing environment to ensure top-notch quality. SCCPC received GMP certification from China in May 1998, and is one of the few GMP-certified companies in mainland China.

Apart from manufacturing major CCPC products on the mainland, SCCPC is also working in close collaboration with research institutes in the mainland to develop new Chinese and western medicines. It has also ventured into joint manufacturing and distribution with international companies in order to expand the long-term cooperative efforts with CCPC. The two-way approach will enable SCCPC to lay a firm foundation in Mainland China while striving toward sustainable operations.

CCPC envisions SCCPC as a gateway into the potential Mainland China market. With CCPC’s modern production management experience, SCCPC will continue to introduce new products and provide services for the health and benefit of the people
